Connections:

Bernie Sanders’ platform wasn’t just about a single politician or campaign—it was a call to action for addressing the real, urgent struggles people face daily. From housing insecurity to healthcare, economic inequality to climate change, the issues he highlighted in his presidential campaigns remain just as pressing today. Ignoring them hasn’t made them disappear; it’s only made the stakes higher. But here’s the good news: we’re not powerless. We can act, and we can start right here in Rochester.

This week, I had the pleasure of discussing these ideas with Abigail McHugh-Grifa on Connections with Evan Dawson. It was a spirited conversation, and I left feeling reenergized about the possibilities for our community. While we only scratched the surface on this episode, I’m looking forward to more community conversations to explore how we can move forward with bold, meaningful action together.
