I’m incredibly honored to share that I’ve received the endorsement of the New York Progressive Action Network (NYPAN). This is more than a political nod—it’s a powerful affirmation that our campaign aligns with a movement rooted in justice, equity, and bold, people-first values.
NYPAN was born out of the grassroots energy of the Bernie Sanders 2016 campaign, but their work didn’t stop there. They’ve continued organizing across the state to push for real, systemic change—fighting for policies that uplift working people, protect our environment, defend democracy, and center those most impacted by injustice. Their network includes over 30 chapters and thousands of activists who understand that progress doesn’t trickle down—it rises up from the people.
Their mission is one I share deeply: to ensure that everyone has the right to live in a safe, just, and sustainable world. As NYPAN puts it:
“To be safe, we must strive for peace—globally, nationally, and within our own communities and homes. To be just, we must strive for not only legal justice but also racial, social, economic, and environmental justice. To be sustainable, we must create long-term solutions that take into account how issues connect with each other, and we must work to solve problems by addressing underlying causes.”
That is exactly the kind of vision that drives me. We cannot keep patching the symptoms while ignoring the root causes. We need to repair harm, protect our communities, and plan for the future—together.
This endorsement energizes me to keep pushing forward, to speak boldly, and to continue organizing alongside others who are committed to building a better, more equitable Rochester. I’m proud to be part of this growing statewide movement and I’m grateful to have NYPAN’s support in this fight.
Let’s get to work.
